Antenatal Care
Several of our Gps have a special interest in Antenatal Care and co-ordinate 'Shared Care' arrangements with Ipswich General Hospital, Maternity Unit. 'Shared Care' means that the majority of your antenatal care will be conducted by your GP at Grange Road Medical. You would be advised when you were required to attend antenatal clinics at the hospital.
Ipswich also has several Obstetrians in private practice. Your GP can refer you as you require.
Postnatal Care: Again the care of mother and newborn baby can be handled by your GP. A 6 wk post natal check is recommended and will include both mother and baby.
